ABOUT THIS QUESTIONNAIRE

Civic Election 2018 – Vital City: Vital Questions

Where do the candidates stand on a broad range of important community issues?

In the spirit of supporting an informed and connected community, the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan has been pleased to be involved in dialogue with individuals and groups across all community sectors who care about our area. Over the past two years, as part of our Vital Signs program, we have held a series of community conversations around economic, social, cultural, environmental and health issues, published our Vital Signs Report, and been invited to many community based initiatives and events.

Community Foundations across the country are proud to encourage community engagement in an unbiased, non-partisan way. In preparation for the civic election on October 20th the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan wants to support civic engagement by encouraging people to VOTE, and to learn more about our community and our leaders.

In Vernon, we have been delighted to support the impressive efforts of a volunteer citizen’s group that has developed a candidate QUESTIONNAIRE in consultation with local champions in the economic, social, cultural, environmental and health sectors. We are pleased to share these responses with the community.
